My services
My services can easily be summarized: I’m specialized in scientific consultation, with a focus in evaluation (both formative and summary) as well as training. My areas of speciality are development policy, migration policy and labour-market and social-policy.
In my working-experience for the past ten years, I have completed a variety of projects, like e. g.:
- project-evaluations for development cooperation in Kenya, Ethiopia, Mongolia, Senegal, Turkey, Ghana and Nigeria
- evaluation of EU-funded programmes, e. g. development partnerships under the EQUAL community initiative
- trainings and workshops for project-management and training of journalists
- civic and adult education, university courses
- scientific contract-studies like e. g. country-assessments for the Bertelsmann Transformation Index (BTI)
My biography
- 2012: extrordinary professorship for political science at the University of Muenster
- since 2011: foundation of company Micado Migration Ltd. (co-founder), part-time employment as a researcher, continuation of free-lance activities
- since 2005: full-time freelance consultant
- 2002-2005: consultant with AGEF-company
- 1999-2002: consultant with “Centre for European and Third World”
- 1998-2005: part-time freelance consultant, teaching at the universities of Muenster, Saarbruecken and Trier)
- 1996-1998: scholarship by “Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft” (DFG)
- 1995-1996: research assistant University of Muenster
- 1993-1995: PhD (political science)
- 1988-1993: university studies in political science, sociology and history (University of Muenster)
- 1973-1986: schooling in Wilhelmshaven
